October 14 letter to Dr. Johnson.docx

October14, 2017
Dear Dr. Johnson,
Hello, and Good Morning. Recently, I sent you a letter concerning an alleged incident that occurred at Neva King Cooper School (NKC). To refresh your memory, Mrs. Green, an African-American staff person at NKC, recently suffered the tragedy of her daughter’s murder Shortly after that incident, the NKC principal, Dr. Roos allegedly ordered an African-American custodian at NKC, Mr. Jackson to deliver a verbal message from Dr. Roos to Mrs. Green. That alleged message was to tell Mrs. Green that if Mrs. Green was unhappy at NKC, Dr. Roos would be happy to arrange for a transfer of Mrs. Green to another school.
Today, I received a telephone call from Mrs. Green, informing me that last week, Dr. Roos allegedly summoned Mr. Jackson to a lengthy, closed door meeting. At that meeting, Dr. Roos allegedly threatened to terminate Mr. Jackson’s employment unless Mr. Jackson agreed to recant his testimony against Dr. Roos concerning the alleged threatened involuntary transfer of Mrs. Green to another school.
Dr. Johnson, both Mr. Jackson and Mrs. Green are fearful that Dr. Roos has begun her campaign of illegal retaliation against them, that both of their jobs are at risk, and that Superintendent Carvalho will do little or nothing to protect them. If the NAACP is willing to lend its mighty voice, this illegal retaliation cannot take place. God Bless You for any help you are able to provide. Mrs. Green has asked that I give you her telephone number. It is 786-718-8163.Please find enclosed my fourth letter to Mr. Carvalho.
Respectfully,
Bill Detzner
